Annie Wu recently assured that all is well with her and her family, amid the growing tension in the Middle East.
The Taiwanese model-actress, who has been living in Dubai for the past three years after her marriage, said that she personally heard the loud explosion that came from the Iranian ballistic missiles that struck Dubai landmarks on 28 February, as the impact even shook the house.
“Thankfully, water, electricity, and food are all normal in Dubai right now. I just filled the fridge a couple of days ago; I never expected this sudden situation. This experience has made me realise even more how precious the ordinary, peaceful days are,” she revealed.
“We talked to the children about the current situation. They are actually very well-behaved; they read, play board games, and quietly do their own things at home. Today they even helped cut fruit and make a chocolate cake, while I prepared meals in the kitchen, trying my best to maintain the normal rhythm of life.”
Annie said that she believes that the children’s world will remain safe as long as the adults remain calm.
“I never imagined we would personally experience missile interception and deafening explosions. But right now, all we can do is take care of our families, protect our lives, and let love and companionship be our strongest support. Thank you to all my friends who care about me. May the conflict end soon and its impact be minimised. May peace and light descend upon everyone,” she added.
