Deng Kai’s rep has recently released a statement denying rumours of romance that have been spreading online about the actor.
The whole issue sparked after a video went viral online, showing the “Pursuit of Jade” actor sitting in a car with his back to the camera, talking to a long-haired woman next to him.
However, when the woman noticed someone filming her outside the car, she immediately covered her face with her hand.
While the video sparked speculations of Deng Kai being in a relationship, fans had since come to his defence, saying that the two did not engage in any intimate behaviour and that it was too far-fetched to conclude that they were in a relationship just because they were in the same car.
In response to the rumours, Deng Kai’s studio stated, “Deng Kai is currently single. The claims regarding a ‘romantic relationship’ are entirely baseless. Please do not spread or perpetuate these rumours.”
The studio further stated that they will continue to gather evidence and hold those responsible for spreading the rumours legally accountable.
