It was reported that Zhao Lusi’s issue with her management, Yinhekuyu Media (aka Galaxy Cool Entertainment) may be over soon, as it was reported that the agency has now been acquired by Alibaba’s entertainment arm, Hujing Digital Media and Entertainment Group.

According to ATV News, the company has signed a five-year contract deal with Lusi, stipulating that she must assist in mentoring newcomers for two years, achieving a “zero-cost” transfer.

It’s reported that Hujing has already begun filming new projects for Lusi, with the first project being the costume drama “Mei Yu,” which co-stars Tian Xuning.

The advertising platform at Alibaba Entertainment headquarters has also begun showing clips featuring Lusi, officially declaring her one of Alibaba’s most sought-after actresses.

Lusi was hospitalised during the filming of “Almost Lover” in 2024 and subsequently fell out with her agency, Yinhekuyu Media, accusing them of long-term exploitation.

In August 2025, she posted on Weibo declaring that she is quitting, accusing her former agency of forcing her to pay compensation for cancelled endorsements while she was ill, and even secretly taking money.
