Fan Bingbing is adding another accolade to her shelf, as she received the Golden Mulberry for Outstanding Achievement.
The actress, who attended the event held at the 28th Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy, was moved to tears when she accepted the award and received enthusiastic applause from the audience.
She shared her feelings about winning the award on social media, describing it as a significant highlight in her life. “This year is 2026, and it marks the 30th year of my film career. In these 30 years, I’ve participated in nearly a hundred film and television works.”
“Looking back, I was just a newcomer with no background, no resources, and no famous directors supporting me, starting from small supporting roles. Along the way, there have always been many people around me who have given me light; they have never given up on me and have always believed that I have the opportunity to stand on this stage. During the most difficult period of my life, I doubted myself countless times: Can I still do it? Can I still stand on this stage? Can I continue acting in movies?”
Fan said that in the past five years, she has slowly come to understand a truth, that not everything in life comes smoothly.
“The hardship is not the end, but the starting point of my rebirth; falling is not terrible, as long as you still have the courage to stand up again. That’s why I’m standing in the centre of this stage tonight to sincerely thank all my friends who have always supported me,” she added.
