Elena Kong has refused to address an allegation that she was faking kindness on the 2024 TVB variety show, “Kindness People”.
Recently, a man named Chan Ka Lok (aka Ah Shun), who is the head of a pest control organisation, published a lengthy post accusing Elena of not being sincere during the taping of an episode of the show in 2024, which revolved around volunteering in the community to help underprivileged residents deal with pest infestations.
He claimed that Elena had arrived late and displayed a cold attitude during filming, and only posed with a steam machine for the camera. He also alleged that the team stayed for just two hours before leaving, leaving him to handle the remaining 98 percent of the pest control work alone.
Ah Shun questioned both Elena and the programme, as to whether they were just putting on a show rather than have genuine interest in helping others.
When asked about the allegations, Elena responded via text message to HK01, “I won’t respond to anything that is not true. Thank you!”
She also took to social media to share a quote from the famed Chinese writer Lu Xun, writing, “Fierce-browed, I coolly defy a thousand pointing fingers; headbowed, like a willing ox I serve the children.”
