BLACKPINK’s Rosé has become the first K-pop artist to win a BRIT Award.
The singer, real name Roseanne Park, won International Song of the Year for her and Bruno Mars’ smash hit, “APT.” at the event held in Manchester on 28 February.
In her speech, the singer expressed that it was an honour to receive the award in front of so many talented and admirable British musicians.

“First of all, Bruno, I’m receiving this award on behalf of both of us. Thank you for being my biggest mentor and best friend,” she expressed.
She also gave a shoutout to her BLACKPINK sisters; Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa, thanking them for always inspiring her, as well as to Teddy Park of The Black Label, saying, “Teddy oppa, I love you so much.”
“APT.” is a pre-released track from Rosé’s solo album released in October 2024. It was inspired by the Korean drinking game “Apartment” and reached number three on Billboard’s Hot 100, the highest ranking ever for a K-pop female artiste, and enjoyed popularity, peaking at number two on the UK’s Official Singles Chart and staying on the chart for over a year.
