Taiwanese actor Wang Kai has recently passed away.
The news was confirmed by the Taipei police. They stated that on 26 July, they found Wang — real name Wang Chien-lung — lying unresponsive at home in Da’an district without any vital signs.
The cause of death is currently unknown and requires further investigation. However, initial reports indicated that Wang was found lying on the rooftop floor.
The actor reportedly finished filming at around 5pm on 25 July before leaving the set of his Sanlih E-Television drama, “Bittersweet Destiny”. On 26 July, the company received the sad news from his agent.
Wang was one of the main characters in the drama’s current storyline.
The production team expressed its condolences and stated that it will also assist the late actor’s family in handling the funeral arrangements.
The actor was 43.
