18 years after their first collaboration, Vic Chou recently reunited with producer Angie Chai for the Taiwanese remake of the Korean hit series, “Our Blues”.
The actor, who first worked with Angie on the 2001 hit series, “Meteor Garden,” expressed elation about the reunion, saying, “18 years is quite a long time. In the past, I preferred and was more accustomed to having everything arranged for me. This time, however, we had many exchanges of ideas right from the initial planning meetings.”
“I believe Angie has seen my thoughts and convictions when it comes to my path as an actor,” he added.
Meanwhile, said Angie, “This is completely different from Vic’s previous roles. This is the first time I’ve felt him stepping on the ground and becoming a local character.”
In addition to Angie, the drama also marks Vic’s third collaboration with Janine Chang after “Black and White” and “Coming Home”.
The original series, starring Lee Byung-hun and Shin Min-a, revolves around the sweet and bitter lives of people at the end or beginning of life. It was aired in 2022.
