The team of Zhang Ruonan’s new drama, “I Live in Your Time” has recently denied claims made online, that the actress was being unprofessional and distracting to her co-stars during filming.
The whole issue sparked after a video circulated online showing Zhang turning her head towards onlookers even after the director yelled “Action!”, which distracted her co-star Wang Anyu, who was already in character.
Other reports indicate that she needed multiple takes during filming, affecting the overall schedule.
In response to the rumours, the production team issued a statement, saying that the allegations were inconsistent with the actual situation on set. They stressed that all cast and crew have maintained a professional and dedicated attitude since shooting began.
Regarding the online rumour that Zhang turned around during filming, the team said that Zhang was startled when someone not from the production team shouted her name loudly and suddenly reached out to take pictures with their phone. They stated that the incident occurred during rehearsals before filming, and that the actress mistakenly thought it was a work instruction from the production team, not what was described online.
The team also sang praises for Zhang and her co-star Wang Anyu for actively cooperating with the production team.
