After making the news for his traffic accident that ended with him pleading guilty to careless driving, Keung To recently stated that he hopes that what happened would be a lesson not just to him but to others as well.

The singer, who attended an event with Andy Lau recently, stated that the incident had occurred last year and the court ruled on it last week. He urged everyone to learn from his experience and drive carefully.

Regarding the charge of not displaying a “P” license plate, he explained that he had rented a new car at the time and remembered having one, but it may have been damaged during the accident. He said his car has been repaired, but he’s not confident enough to drive it for now.

“I need to learn to drive better first, but I don’t want to sell it, so I’ll keep it for now! I’ll be more careful driving in the future; everyone should focus on looking ahead when driving,” he said.

Keung had been involved in a minor traffic accident months after he obtained his driving license in early 2025. The singer was revealed to have lost control of his vehicle after reaching for a cap in the back of the car, while driving along Caine Road. His vehicle was revealed to have crashed into roadside railings.

He was fined HKD 1,000 after pleading guilty to reckless driving.
