Charmaine Sheh has broken a record by becoming the first actress to win TVB Best Actress four times and twice back-to-back.
The actress, who won TV Queen the third time for her performance as Man Wai Sum in “The Queen of News” last year, has been named Best Actress again for the sequel of the series at the event that was held on 4 January at the Grand Lisboa Resort, Macau.
In her speech, she expressed, “Tonight is a night I will remember in my life. Thank you for being with me in such a beautiful setting. Last time I received an award, I felt like I was the one receiving it, but this time it feels like it’s Sister Man who’s winning. I wasn’t acting; I became her.”
“She guided me through such a wonderful storyline, allowing us to resonate with the audience. I want to say to her, I love you, Man Wai-sum,” she added.
In an interview following her win, Charmaine frankly admitted that winning the title for the fourth time felt like a dream, leaving her mind completely blank.
The actress also promised to continue to bring more high-quality works to everyone, conveying more positive energy and meaning.
When asked if there will be season 3 to the series, she responded that she is uncertain about the future but that she will not rush into anything.
