Sources said that the actress may be collaborating with Jackson Yee in the new drama, “Peacock”, which is adapted from Ma Boyong’s “The Romance of Supporting Characters from the Three Kingdoms”, specifically the story, “Southeast Fly the Peacocks”.
Set during the Han Dynasty, “Peacock” stars Jackson Yee as a government official who, while investigating an unsolved case, befriends a musician (played by Tang Wei), who plays the guzheng.
The plot also intertwines elements of political intrigue, including an assassination attempt.
At the same time, there are rumours that Tang Wei is only making a guest appearance in the drama. However, no confirmation has been made by the actress.
It is noted that Tang’s last TV series was the 2019 “Ming Dynasty”.
