South Korean singers Lyn and Lee Soo of the rock band M.C the Max are parting ways after 11 years of marriage.
The news was announced by their agency, 325E&C, stating that the separation was amicable and without wrongdoing on either side, noting that the couple reached their decision “after thorough discussion.”
Lyn and Lee Soo were married in 2014. Despite their personal split, both artists remain under the same agency and are expected to continue with their planned professional activities.
Lee Soo first debuted in 2000 as a member of the four-piece band Moonchild, which was later rebranded as M.C the Max in 2002. The group is best known for early 2000s hits like “Goodbye for a Moment” (2002), “The Poem of Love” (2003), and “Don’t Be Happy” (2004).
Lyn also launched her solo career in 2000 with the album “My First Confession”. She gained widespread recognition for her drama soundtracks, including “Moon Embracing the Sun” (MBC) and “My Love From the Star” (SBS).
While Lyn has remained consistently active in the music industry, Lee Soo has largely stayed out of the spotlight since 2009, after being accused of soliciting sex from a minor. The case was eventually dropped by prosecutors. Lee Soo admitted to soliciting prostitution but claimed he was unaware the individual involved was underage.
