Zanilia Zhao’s team recently had fans laughing with the way they responded to the backlash concerning the actress’ new hairstyle.
The whole issue started when the actress appeared on a Douyin livestream with Xie Na and Du Hua, marking her first public appearance since her illness in August. It was a highly-anticipated comeback, seeing that the actress had been on hiatus for quite some time.
However, the comment section immediately erupted as soon as she entered into the livestream, as many expressed their hatred for her hairstyle that they described as a “mushroom cut”.
Fans immediately flooded the Weibo account of Zanilia’s studio, slamming her team for letting her make a comeback with a hairdo that did not flatter her at all. Some even demanded that the actress change her stylist and that the stylist “should get out if you can’t do the job.”
Following the backlash, her team posted a video of Zanilia on social media, holding a hairdryer and drying her hair in front of a mirror.
They captioned it, “It’s being washed, it’s being washed, I’ll scrub it from the top again tomorrow.”
