Although he has assured fans that he is doing well after his stage accident earlier this week, it was revealed that Aska Yang has now cancelled a couple of shows to focus on recuperation.
It was back on 24 August that Aska incurred an injury at his concert in Xining, when a stage lift malfunctioned, causing him to lose his footing and fall about two meters during his performance. Aska was rushed to the hospital soon after.
His studio has recently released a statement, saying that Aska is actively cooperating with the professional medical team’s treatment, and that his health and safety are the most crucial thing at the moment.
“We call on the outside world to wish Aska a speedy recovery and to return to the stage in a better condition in the future,” they added.
It is noted that Aska has already cancelled his Saturday performance at the Kuaishou Super Summer Gala. He will also be missing his scheduled 4 September recording of a CCTV show in Sichuan.
An insider revealed that the singer needs at least two weeks to recover from his injury.
