Suzuki Kurumi is set to graduate from AKB48, nearly 10 years since she joined the group.
The news was announced at the “Kokokara da” performance on 10 April, with the singer later revealing on the group’s website, “I, Suzuki Kurumi, will be graduating from AKB48.”
She reflected, “I joined AKB48 when I was 12 years old, and the group AKB48 has helped me grow from an immature idol and person to where I am today.”
“There were many times when I made mistakes, but each time I was supported by my fans, fellow members, and staff, and I was able to continue this far,” she added.
According to the official website, the graduation performance is scheduled for 15 May, and it has been reported that she will participate in all upcoming events that were previously announced.
