It was reported that singer and actor Lee Seung-gi has notified his agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment (BPM) of the termination of his exclusive contract.

The news was announced by his legal representatives Attorney Yoon Yong-seok of the law firm Hyunmyung on 6 April, saying that Lee notified the agency of the termination at the end of last month, citing a breach of the exclusive contract.

His rep claimed that settlement payments have not been made since September of last year, and that problems also arose in the process of paying for activity support, payment of costs to onsite staff and external vendor expenses.

In particular, they are emphasising that their request to access basic documents to ensure transparency was denied without justifiable grounds.

Big Planet, a label under One Hundred, is experiencing turmoil due to a series of departures by its artistes. Recently, there have been continuous reports that The Boyz, Viviz, Lee Moo-jin, and BE’O. have notified the agency of their intention to terminate their exclusive contracts. SHINee’s Taemin, who was formerly under this label, has already moved to a different agency.

The company is maintaining a general stance, stating that it is “currently in discussions for business normalisation and an amicable resolution.”
