As much as he is thankful for his girlfriend Kang Jia, who was the one who alerted the authorities that led to his rescue from a Myanmar-based fraud group last year, Chinese actor Wang Xing stated that he still doesn’t have enough to offer her by way of marriage.
The actor, who appeared on a finance-related variety show with his girlfriend recently, stated that the reason that they haven’t married was due to financial reasons.
Wang Xing stated that they both wanted some security before getting married, rather than being together solely based on passion, adding, “Should I tell her parents that love can overcome all obstacles? Even if she thinks so, I feel that would be irresponsible of me.”

The actor stated he hopes to provide his partner with a warm home, not one where they have to live a life of hardship, and he wants to make them feel secure. However, sadly, he hasn’t reached that level of capability yet.
Wang Xing also revealed that when he was scammed in Myanmar, someone took his phone and used it to take out tens of thousands of yuan in online loans. After returning to China, he chose to repay the loans in instalments, and even borrowed money from his girlfriend to pay them off.
He admitted that the online loan incident made his life even worse.
However, though they are still some distance from their goal, Wang Xing and Kang Jia’s relationship remains very strong, with the actor saying that he has no qualms giving her everything he had.
