Wong You Nam recently revealed that he is still single now five years since his breakup and hopes to start a family one day.
The actor, who sat down for a radio interview recently, said that he hopes to find someone to be his life partner soon, adding, “I once planned to get married at thirty and hoped to have two children, but the more I think about it, the less likely it is. Now I can only say, ‘Let fate decide.'”
“The most important thing for a partner is that they are filial. It doesn’t matter if they are in the entertainment industry or not. I don’t mind the age. My exes were all a year or two older than me,” he added.
Wong previously spoke about his past relationship on his channel, saying that having the need to help his ailing father repay a HKD 7 million debt for several years prompted him to break up with his then-girlfriend.
“We were already living together at the time. Because I needed to help my father pay off his debts, I felt my partner should be enjoying life, not just suffer with me. I lied to her and told her I had met someone else. My heart was aching; I hated hurting her so much. But at that point, I couldn’t see how many years would pass, and I didn’t want to waste her time,” he said.
Wong said that the former girlfriend is now happily married with two children and that they have remained friends.
