Aaron Kwok recently revealed that he actually sustained injuries while filming his new movie, “Under Current”.
The Hong Kong superstar, who attended the audience appreciation event following the film’s success at the box office, said that seeing the film’s success at the box office has made his hard work worthwhile.
“In one scene, I was choked, and I filmed action scenes for seven consecutive days. I had to be suspended by wires and do aerial kicks and 360-degree spins. Because I had never done those moves before, I had to do over 10 takes, and I even accidentally injured my ribs,” he said.

Aaron added that he actually had to take painkillers to endure the pain and finish filming.
Asked what his wife Moka Fang thought about it, Aaron admitted that he didn’t tell his family about the injuries to avoid worrying them.
In “Under Current,” Aaron plays the role of a barrister specialising in criminal cases, who collaborates with a police inspector (Francis Ng) to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death of a financial director of a charity organisation.
Helmed by Alan Mak, film co-stars Francis Ng and Simon Yam.
