Taiwanese singer Rainie Yang made a rare social media update recently, revealing that she had just undergone a major surgery and is now concentrating on recuperation.
Sharing about her health situation on 31 August, she wrote, “A while ago, I underwent a major surgery and am currently recuperating. My doctor originally recommended planning it last year, but I was so focused on my concerts and my current work that I put it on hold. This year, for my long-term health, I decided to adjust my priorities and put my health first.”
“The doctor said everything went smoothly and the results were reassuring, and that all I need to do now is rest and recover,” she added.
Rainie admitted that while it was no small matter, she tried to remain calm. She shared that her mother and husband, Li Ronghao, were there for her throughout the process, allowing her to relax.
“I promised you that my new album would be released in the second half of this year, and nothing will change that promise. I completed all the necessary preparations before the surgery. I hope my work will continue to be a daily companion for you, as it always has been. But please be patient…”
Rainie playfully reminded people not to be too surprised if they bump into her in their daily lives, adding, “That doesn’t mean I’m fully recovered, but I’m slowly getting back to my familiar state and rhythm.”
In response to questions about her health, Rainie’s agency said, “Thank you for your concern. Rainie Yang is currently recovering, but it will take some time to slowly return to her work rhythm. But everything is fine, please be rest assured.”
