After successfully undergoing surgery to remove a benign tumour, Jet Li recently took to social media to explain his previous condition to his fans.
In the video shared on social media, the martial arts actor said that he first saw a lump on his neck on 26 April, which he described to be “hard to the touch”.
After a week of taking anti-inflammatory medication, he realised that something was wrong about his condition, and underwent an ultrasound, CT scan and a biopsy.
While the ultrasound was largely confirmed to be benign, some areas were unclear, which prompted him to undergo surgery last month.
Jet said that the surgery wasn’t major, and that he is doing fine now after the biopsy confirmed that it is indeed benign.
“For me, if there’s a ‘hardware problem’, I have to face it. I am an ordinary person. If there is an issue, I have to fix it. If it is fixed, it’s fine. Even if there is a one in 10,000 chance of dying on the operating table, that’s a possibility. I have to face everything,” he said.
It was back on 17 August that the actor posted a picture of himself lying on a hospital bed on social media and said that he was experiencing “another unpredictable trial”.
