Joe Chen recently admitted that it is already very hard for her to have a child at her age, and that she and her husband Alan Chen are now taking it as it is.
The 46-year-old Taiwanese actress recently spoke about having children on the variety show, “Tian Sheng Yi Dui”, saying that it is very difficult for a woman over 40 to have children, adding “For me and Alan, we just go with the flow when it comes to having children. It’s fine if we have one, but it’s also fine if we don’t.”
“Honestly, if I were ten years younger, I might have made a different choice, but I think whatever time gives you, that’s what it is. I figured it out, and everything is the best arrangement.”
Joe said that loving oneself is the most important.
“I feel that I am who I am. If you choose to be with me and marry me, I choose not to have children. But if I want to, I would try hard. I would do IVF, or whatever it takes. But I also feel that if I don’t have children, it’s okay too. I’m happy. Because I believe life is meant to be lived for yourself,” she said.
