Chinese actress Song Yi has strongly denied recent online rumours suggesting she is “difficult to work with”.
The claims, which allegedly came from anonymous industry insiders, have sparked heated discussions across social media platforms.
Reports indicated that Song Yi was alleged to have a poor reputation, is difficult to work with, acts like a diva, is picky about makeup artists, and personally attacks others. During filming, Song Yi allegedly refused to leave the car due to dissatisfaction with the arrangements, and only cooperated after the producer brought luxury goods and apologised.
In response, Song Yi’s studio released an official statement on 20 September, calling the allegations completely false and defamatory. The studio emphasised that it has collected evidence and will initiate legal action against those responsible for spreading false information.
“Any media outlets and online users who have published the infringing content should immediately delete all infringing content and not harbour any hope of success,” it added.
