Charmaine Sheh has laughed off the idea of a rift with Annie Man, after the latter was nowhere to be seen during her and her actress friends’ recent get-together.
It was back in August that Charmaine shared a photo of her and her fellow “Seven Devil Girls” BFF group. Sherming Yiu, Angela Tong, Margaret Chung, Toby Leung, and Janet Chow were seen alongside the actress, all clad in black, except Annie, who was not seen in any of the photos.
This sparked rumours that the six members are no longer friends with the former TVB actress.
When asked about it, Charmaine explained, “When there are many people, it’s really hard to match schedules, so we can only plan during summer holidays. And it just so happened to clash with Annie’s daughter’s birthday.”
She then added jokingly with a laugh, “Looks like I’m the one being left out. She loves her daughter so much, she doesn’t love us anymore!”
It is noted that the gang have been friends for many years now, having found fame in the 2000s through TVB dramas. Annie, who married businessman Jason Lee in 2012, decided not to renew her TVB contract and slowly faded away from the acting scene.
