MIRROR member Stanley Yau recently expressed his support for fellow member Keung To, who recently became the subject of filmmaker Wong Jing’s ire.

The singer, who held a performance in West Kowloon recently alongside member Ian Chan, Jer Lau and Tiger Yau, was asked about the criticism made by the director about Keung’s stardom, and said that they have always been receptive of any criticisms against them.

“Since our debut, many people have had different opinions and comments about us. In short, we will accept them with an open mind, strive for excellence and do better, solve all problems, and be strict with ourselves. It is very important and we must do it,” said Stanley.

When asked if they think Wong Jing was exaggerating, fellow member Jer said that the most important thing is to work hard and turn all criticism into motivation.

Stanley added that Keung has been in the industry for a long time and does not need any comfort.

“He has endured a hundred times more than I have. He will digest this matter well. I believe he will not think too much about it now and will equip himself well,” he added.

As for Wong’s latest post saying that he was not blaming Keung but the fans for promoting a “low-level top star”, Stanley said, “So, we have to make ourselves good and let everyone know through our actions that we deserve everything we have now.”
