American band Culture Wars recently stated that they have no qualms abiding by the guidelines set by the Malaysian Government for international artistes as long as they are able to entertain the masses.

Vocalist Alex Dugan told the media recently that they were ready to comply with the regulations to respect the sovereignty of Malaysia as the host country.

“We often perform all over the world and as guests, we always appreciate every opportunity given,” he said, adding that they should always be respectful of the terms set.

“Our goal is to sing and entertain fans. Whatever the conditions, we’ll just follow them,” he added.

The band, who is also performing in the country on 12 February as part of the Maroon 5 Asia 2025 tour, said that this is their second visit to Malaysia after appearing as the opening act for LANY last year.

“Last year’s performance was amazing and the response from the fans was incredible,” they stated.

Culture Wars’ response to the guidelines was in stark contrast to The 1975, whose frontman Matt Healy broke the law by kissing a member of his band during the Good Vibes Festival two years ago, resulting in the festival being cancelled altogether.
