It seems that Britney Spears may be dropping lots of bombshells in her upcoming memoir, “The Woman in Me”, with the first revelation being that she had an abortion during her teen years.
The former pop princess, who dated fellow pop star Justin Timberlake in the early 2000s, shared the painful experience that she kept for 20 years in a chapter of the new book, saying that she became pregnant with Justin’s baby during the time they were together.
“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” she said of the pregnancy. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”

Britney added that she would have not picked abortion if it was up to her alone, but that she did so as Justin was sure he didn’t want to be a father.
“To this day, it’s one of the most agonising things I have ever experienced in my life,” she said.
Justin Timberlake’s rep has yet to comment on the abortion issue.
The couple ended their relationship in 2002, and Britney went on to marry dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she has two sons with, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
“The Woman in Me” is set for release on 24 October.
