Byeon Woo-Seok’s camp has released a warning statement against sasaeng fans following incidents of privacy invasions.
In a statement released on 19 September, Varo Entertainment stated that there have been continuous instances of people appearing unannounced at filming locations and airports, or following the artiste and their staff.
“For the artiste’s safety and privacy protection, as well as for smooth on-site operations, we ask that you refrain from visiting any schedules or locations other than the official fan participation dates announced by our company,” the company added.
In particular, Varo emphasised, “We ask that you immediately cease any actions that infringe upon the artiste’s safety and privacy, such as visiting private spaces like the residences of managers or related personnel to track the artiste’s movements, or waiting nearby, or obtaining or sharing the artiste’s personal information or private movement data through inappropriate means.”
The company stated that it will not hesitate to take legal action against those going against their warnings.
“We ask for your understanding regarding the purpose of this announcement for the safety of everyone, including the artistes and fans. We will continue to do our best to ensure that the artists and fans can be together in a safer and better environment.”
