The Hsu family has recently addressed a recent situation concerning the brand endorsements of the late Barbie Hsu, who passed away in February last year.

Recently, some netizens discovered that the skincare brand that Barbie endorsed during her lifetime is still using her photos for promotion on social media, raising questions about whether it is exploiting the deceased.

In response, Dee Hsu’s manager stated that the arrangement was a decision made jointly by the Hsu family and the brand, hoping to ensure that Big S’s image remains in everyone’s hearts.

The rep also pointed out that the endorsement contract has not yet expired, and given the long-standing good working relationship between the two parties, it was decided not to remove the related advertisements after Barbie’s passing, allowing fans to still see her most beautiful side.

On the other hand, Dee is now gradually emerging from her hiatus following her sister’s death and has recently returned to work.

In an interview, she revealed that she still often dreams of Barbie and would text Barbie via social media whenever something significant happens in the family. This, she said, was a way for her to maintain an emotional connection with her late sister.
