It was revealed that DJ Koo Jun-yup has been painting a lot as a way to express his deep longing for late wife, Barbie Hsu.
This piece of information was revealed by Barbie’s younger sister, Dee Hsu at a cosmetics promotion event, when asked about Koo’s current situation in the interview.
Said Dee, “My brother-in-law is currently fully devoted to painting. He mainly uses my sister as his inspiration. He no longer just does simple sketches but focuses on oil paintings.”
“His paintings are almost indistinguishable from the real person. He has even captured my sister’s eyes and soul. Honestly, I felt it would be a shame to keep these works only at home, so I thought about exhibiting them. I hope many people can see the portraits of my sister painted by my brother-in-law, who loves her the most.”
It is reported that DJ Koo has completed more than 10 portraits of Barbie.
She also mentioned DJ Koo’s health, saying, “Our family eats together every week and we’ve been keeping an eye on my brother-in-law’s condition. He looks to be in good health. His eyes have regained their sparkle, and he can chat and laugh with everyone. His overall condition is gradually improving.”
