Now that the statue he had been working on for late wife Barbie Hsu has been completed and shown to the world, DJ Koo Jun-yup will finally return to South Korea.

According to Taiwanese media, a member of the Hsu family has reportedly said that DJ Koo will return to South Korea soon to spend the Lunar New Year with his mother and sister.

“He has been in Taiwan for a year. Now that things have come to a satisfactory conclusion, it is unlikely that he will stay in Taiwan during this important holiday. He should return to South Korea to reunite with his family,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Barbie’s mother Huang Chun-mei will join Dee Hsu and the rest of the family for a New Year’s Eve dinner.

As for DJ Koo’s future plans, the source said that they could not answer on his behalf, only revealing that the Korean entertainer felt that the unveiling ceremony had fulfilled his wish and allowed him to say a complete goodbye to his beloved Barbie.

“The statue is a gift he put a lot of thought into giving to Barbie Hsu, and it is also a comfort to the Hsu family. Because the ceremony was a great success, and his Korean friends Kang Won-rae, Hong Rok-gi, and Siwon were present to encourage him, Koo Jun-yup felt much better now,” they said.
