Zhang Linghe and his team have recently released a statement following the recent incident that occurred during an eyewear event in Nanning.

On 31 May, the “Pursuit of Jade” star’s studio shared its statement on social media, stating that they are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the last-minute change to the schedule due to safety concerns.

“This is Zhang Linghe’s first time working in Nanning, and we were all eagerly anticipating this event and looking forward to meeting you all face-to-face. We know that many fans have travelled from other cities specifically to see Linghe, and many local fans are happily awaiting his arrival in their cities. Every time we meet, we can truly feel everyone’s enthusiasm and sincerity. We share your feelings of disappointment and regret that you came with high hopes but left disappointed.”

“For fans who came to Nanning, all travel and accommodation expenses incurred due to this event will be fully compensated by the artiste and his studio. We kindly ask our fans who have suffered losses to prepare the relevant materials and complete the documents by 12.00 PM on 3 June. We will verify each document and reimburse everyone’s losses as soon as possible, with full compensation expected to be completed by 15 June,” the company added.

Fans broke the glass door of the mall in Nanning to see Zhang Linghe

According to media reports, a large number of fans lined up overnight to see their idol on 31 May, who appeared in Nanning for the first time. However, upon the opening of the mall, many swarmed in and shattered the glass doors. Despite the chaos, the crowd continued to run through the broken glass towards the venue. Not only was the event area packed with people, but the corridors on other floors were also filled with fans waiting for Zhang Linghe. Five people sustained minor abrasions and were taken to the hospital for examination and treatment.

Fearing the situation would spiral out of control, the organisers announced around 2 PM that, based on safety requirements from relevant departments and to avoid risks such as stampedes, the event was cancelled.
