Yui Yokoyama recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
Sharing the news in a joint statement with husband Shota Gogami on 15 June, she stated, “We are pleased to announce that we are expecting a new life. My husband and I are working together and eagerly awaiting the day we can welcome our new family member.”
Revealing that their baby will be born in autumn, the former AKB48 member said that they will continue to diligently attend to the work they have been given, while taking care of their health.
“We are filled with gratitude to all our fans who support us and to everyone involved who has helped us. We would be grateful if you would watch over us warmly. Thank you for your continued support,” the statement added.
Yui tied the knot with the JUNretsu member in December 2024.
