It was revealed that singer-actress IU has donated KRW 100 million to two organisations in celebration of Children’s Day.
The news was announced by her agency, EDAM Entertainment on 5 May, stating that the singer has made the donation under the name IUaena – a combination of her name and her official fan club.
The donations were delivered in amounts of KRW 50 million each to the Korea National Association of Child Welfare and the Korea Association of the Community Child Centre. The funds will be used to support medical care, cultural activities and many more for marginalised children.
It is noted that it was back in December that IU donated KRW 200 million to support single mothers, people with disabilities and the elderly.
The actress is currently starring in the hit drama, “Perfect Crown” alongside Byeon Woo-seok.
