Dolly Parton recently announced that she has decided to cancel her Las Vegas residency again amid treatment on her health issues.

On 4 May, the 80-year-old Grammy-winner took to Instagram to share the bad news via video, saying, “Well hey there, it’s Dolly, and I am here to give you an update on a few things going on in my life. First, it’s concerning my health, and I have some good news and a little bad news. But the good news is, I’m responding really well to meds and treatments, and I’m improving every day.”

“Now, the bad news is, it’s going to take me a little while before I’m up to stage-performance level, because some of the meds and treatments make me a little bit swimmy headed, as my grandma used to say.”

She continued jokingly, “And of course, I can’t be dizzy carrying around banjos, guitars and such on five-inch heels. And you know that I’m going to be wearing them. Not to mention, all those heavy rhinestone outfits, the big hair, my big… uh, personality. Lord, those — that would make anybody swimmy headed.”

She likened herself to a classic car, saying that “once restored, can be better than ever,” but added that they found out that she needed a new engine and a full overhaul once they opened the hood.

In the caption, Dolly expressed, “Thank you for standing by me and showing me so much love and support over the past year. I’ve still got some healing to do, but I am on my way! See you soon.”

The Country queen previously announced the postponement of her residency in September last year, citing “health challenges.”

It is noted that Dolly did not actually reveal her actual diagnosis.
