The stars of “Cold War 1994” found an interesting way to promote their new movie, and that is by sharing photos of them from the year 1994.
In celebration of the movie release on 1 May, stars like Daniel Wu, Aaron Kwok, Samantha Ko and Louise Wong took to social media to post old images of them, with Daniel, who was 20 in 1994, posting, “What was I doing in 1994? Here’s a pic of me and my wushu Coach Zhang Hongmei taking me and our team to train with the Beijing Wushu team for the summer.”
“Training 9 hours a day was probably one of the hardest things in my life but it got me ready for a career in action film,” he added.

Aaron Kwok, who had already become one of Hong Kong’s big four in 1994, posted a photo from his heartthrob days and wrote, “What about my 1994 and yours?”

Meanwhile, Samantha Ko, who was only seven in 1994, shared a photo of her and her mum, writing, “Although I’m not entirely sure if this is it, I’ve decided to post this one anyway. Because~ My Mum is So Beautiful!”
And many agreed, with some saying that she has inherited her mother’s good looks.

Meanwhile, Terrance Lau decided to share a photo of a very serious looking kid-version of himself (he’d be six at this time) holding a sword. However, many of the comments couldn’t help but said that he really resembled Daniel Wu in the photo.

In related news, it was revealed that “Cold War 1994” had already surpassed HKD 10 million in cumulative box office revenue in Hong Kong and Macau as of 2 May.
