Yue Yuting’s camp has recently slammed the leak of the actress’ personal information by individuals with ulterior motives.
The whole issue sparked during a live stream, when the vertical drama actress was suddenly bombarded with phone calls from trolls using illegally obtained phone numbers. The calls went beyond mere insults, with some even went so far as to curse her family.
This sudden cyberbullying caused Yue Yuting to have an emotional breakdown during the live stream, and the situation briefly spiralled out of control.
In response to the incident, her agency released a statement revealing that they have lodged a report to the police and that the situation is now being investigated.
“We hereby solemnly declare: illegally leaking and selling others’ personal information is illegal. Those involved must immediately cease all infringing activities. We also urge all [fans] to jointly resist such illegal acts, remain vigilant, and not easily believe false information to avoid being deceived,” the studio stated.
Regarding the incident, the studio expressed their apology, stating, “Due to our failure to provide adequate protection, Yuting’s personal privacy information was leaked and sold by malicious individuals, severely disrupting her normal life. We deeply regret this.”
