Another year and we’re having another M. Nasir concert, as the legendary music auteur announced the fourth edition of his Cipta brand concert.
The news was announced through a unique press conference that was held inside a Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) train from Kuala Lumpur Station to Ipoh Station, which was named Ekspres Rakyat (Nasi Ganja) Tok Nasir.
The upcoming concert, known as “DATO’ M.N47IR CIPTA 4” will be held on 4 July, which is also the music maestro’s 68th birthday. The concert will also have Melly Goeslaw as a guest singer, the venue being the Unifi Arena Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
Said organiser ICON Entertainment’s Iman Tang, “M Nasir has never been paired, either ‘on air’ or ‘off air’, with Melly. This is the specialty of Cipta 4 which brings together two great composers from this region.”
“M Nasir has about 3,000 songs, while Melly has around 700 works. As the organisers, we don’t just choose the date and songs, but rather ensure that this performance reaches its own standard,” he added.
The concert, which has a Batik Injection theme, will feature 30 to 40 songs including a medley segment.
Ticket sales for all categories, starting from RM238 to RM588, will open on 24 April via https://www.ticket2u.com.my/.
