Louis Koo found himself having to appease fans, after his movie “Back to the Past,” failed to secure even one accolade at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

The movie, which had 11 nominations including Best Actor for Louis and Best Film, ended up losing all of the categories to stiff competition – a fact that caused dissatisfaction among the fans, who believed that the film should win at least one major award.

In response to the escalating public opinion, Louis personally left a message to comfort everyone, saying, “Hold on, everyone. There’s no need to get so worked up! Actually, whether we win an award or not is a minor matter! The most important thing is your liking and support!”

“We will continue to work hard to make good movies!” he added.
