Daniel Wu might have been a heartthrob to many women in the 2000s, but the actor is sad to reveal that his daughter Raven does not feel the same.
The actor, who made a return to Hong Kong to promote his new movie, “Cold War 1994,” revealed during the press conference that his daughter does not admire him at all.
Daniel said that he would ask Raven every day if she thought that he was handsome, but never received the answer he wanted, adding, “She doesn’t think I am handsome at all!”
The actor said that to his daughter, he is not the heartthrob that the public perceive him to be, and that he lost that status in his daughter’s eyes to Stay Kids’ Bang Chan.
Reflecting on the generational change, Daniel said that fans in the past would greet him with “I grew up watching your movies.”
“Nowadays, when I meet younger people, they say ‘My parents really like you’. It made me realise that the younger generation’s preference has changed for a while now,” he said.
