Zhang Ziyi has recently expressed her interest to work with Hong Kong actor, Nick Cheung, following their meeting at the Hong Kong Screenwriters’ Guild awards.
The actress, who sat next to the actor-director at the banquet, said that the movie could be something romantic and one that she hasn’t done in a long time.
When asked whether she would speak Mandarin or Cantonese if she were to work with Nick, Zhang laughed and said, “As long as he can understand, that’s enough! My Cantonese has never been very good; I can understand but not speak.”
“Films are facing especially difficulties lately. If you have any good stories or good projects, remember to contact me,” she added.
On the other hand, Zhang, who won Best Film Character of the year for “She’s Got No Name” at the ceremony, said that she is set to shoot a new movie in April.
As for rumours that Wu Kang-ren has been replaced with another actor for her upcoming directorial effort, “Swam 100 Metres Across the Shore,” the actress said that casting hasn’t even started yet.
