Angelica Lee (Lee Sinje) recently took to social media to share with fans her recent reunion with fellow actress and mentor, Sylvia Chang.
In an Instagram post dated 13 March, the actress posted a photo of her with the Taiwanese star and wrote, “There’s a bond that transcends teacher and student, mother and daughter, sisters, and above all, confidantes. Under the beautiful sky, in the tranquillity surrounding the meadows, trees, and flowers, sunlight bathed our every smile.”
“We talked about so much: life’s troubles, each other’s recent situations, anecdotes from the past, countless movie stories, recent favourites, current events, our love for the world, the physical and mental state of being a woman, even gossip… How many times in our busy lives can we have moments like this?” she continued.
Angelica said that she and Sylvia chatted all night and woke up feeling refreshed.
“Sylvia said, ‘I feel like my complexion has improved.’ Looking at the smile on her face, I felt a surge of emotion,” she added.
The two stars have had a close relationship for a while now, with Sylvia being the person who scouted Angelica in the 1990s. The two have also worked together in multiple films including 2019’s “The Garden of Evening Mists”.
