ENHYPEN has recently released a statement regarding the departure of Heeseung from the group.
On 11 March, following the shocking announcement of the singer’s withdrawal, the group posted on social media and addressed their fans, known as ENGENE.
The group expressed, “ENHYPEN has always existed for ENGENE, so seeing ENGENE worry and struggle is the biggest pain for us. The time we’ve spent together so far has been so precious that it can’t be expressed in words. That’s why we respect and support Heeseung’s choice and new start, with whom we’ve been together all this time.”
“In order to ease ENGENE’s worries even a little and create happy days for [all of you], we at ENHYPEN will continue to grow even more in the future. We will become stronger and never forget to be grateful at every moment.”
It was back on 10 March that it was revealed Heeseung will be leaving the group to pursue a solo career.
The group’s agency, Belift Lab, stated, “We had in-depth discussions about each member’s vision for the future and the direction of the group. Through this process, we confirmed that Heeseung had a clear musical direction in mind, and we decided to respect that.”
ENHYPEN will continue activities as a six-member group consisting of Jeongwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunwoo, and Niki.
