VIPs, your wait is finally over. G-Dragon just made it official – BIGBANG is staging their highly anticipated comeback in 2026 to celebrate two decades since their debut.
The announcement came during G-Dragon’s solo fan meeting at Seoul’s KSPO Dome last weekend, where over 40,000 fans packed the venue across three days. The K-pop icon, born Kwon Ji-yong, shared the exciting news through his agency Galaxy Corporation, telling the crowd he’s just as eager as everyone else for the reunion.
“This year, BIGBANG will come back to coincide with our 20th debut anniversary,” he told fans, adding a poetic touch by referencing their 2018 track “Flower Road”, “As spring is around the corner, please wait a bit more while taking a short rest along the flower road.”
The comeback will mark BIGBANG’s first proper group release since 2022, with the trio now consisting of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung following the departures of Seungri in 2019 and TOP in 2023.

While the three reunited for “Home Sweet Home” in late 2024, that track was technically released as a G-Dragon solo featuring the others. It thus makes this upcoming project their first official group effort in years.
The “Kings of K-pop” originally debuted on 19 August 2006, and quickly became one of the most influential acts in Korean music history. They’ve dominated Forbes Korea’s celebrity power rankings and made waves internationally, earning spots on the Forbes Celebrity 100 and the prestigious 30 Under 30 music list.
