Barbie Hsu’s mother Huang Chun-mei has recently dismissed reports that she is supposedly going to court against her son-in-law, Koo Jun-yup.
The original report claimed that the South Korean entertainer is the first in line to inherit Barbie’s estate following her passing.
It was said that to protect her daughter’s fortune, Huang has hired a top-tier legal team to prepare for a legal battle, reportedly the same team that was hired by Lee Jing-lei in her divorce with Wang Leehom.
On 10 February, the Hsu matriarch personally stepped forward and directly denied the inheritance dispute.
She expressed, “I hate lawsuits. They’re a waste of time and money, thank you!”
She emphasised that she had never initiated any legal proceedings, and that the related reports were inconsistent with the facts.
“I now call him ‘adeul’ (son in Korean). He is my son. He loves my daughter very much and he respects me. I love him,” she added.
Dee Hsu has also responded angrily through her agent, saying, “The person who spread this kind of rumour is really malicious! DJ Koo is our family member, and we will only protect him and would never hurt him. Please stop spreading rumours and gossip here.”
