Ryoko Hirosue has been fined JPY 700,000 (approx. USD 4,475) following the previous car accident she caused back in April last year.
A summary court in Shizuoka issued the order on 23 December, which was disclosed on 5 January, stating that the actress has been summary-indicted for negligent driving that has resulted in injury.
In the event that occurred on 7 April 2025, Ryoko was driving her vehicle and changed lane at approximately 185 kph inside a tunnel on the eastbound lanes of the Shin-Tomei Expressway in Shizuoka’s Kakegawa, which resulted in a collision with a large tractor trailer.
The accident caused multiple injuries to the passenger riding in the front seat of her vehicle, with Ryoko herself sustaining minor injuries.
It is noted that the accident was originally unknown by the media, that was until the actress was arrested the next day on suspicion of assaulting a nurse. She had been sent to the hospital where the nurse was employed after the vehicle accident on the Shin-Tomei Expressway.
