Winning Best Actor for the first time at the TVB Anniversary Awards, Bosco Wong recently took to social media to share his thoughts about the honour.
The actor, who won the title of TV King for his performance in “The Queen of News 2” on 4 January, admitted that he didn’t expect that he would win after he was named Favourite TVB Male Actor for Greater Bay Area prior to the major category.
“I thought that this would be the end already. So, after that, I was sitting there simply enjoying the atmosphere. When Michael Miu came out to present the award… I thought to myself, hey, maybe there’s still a bit of hope! And sure enough, hope really can come back to life at the very last moment. As soon as he called my name, my heart was about to jump out of my chest,” he said.
Bosco said that he is still feeling the gratitude and the emotion from winning the award, and thanked the team involved in the drama and to everybody who have been supporting him.
“These two awards are a tremendous encouragement to me, but they are also a very heavy responsibility. I will continue to work hard at acting and will not let everyone down,” he added.
