Nancy Wu has recently laughed off the notion of her having a shotgun wedding earlier, saying that she is not pregnant at all.
The actress, who made her first public appearance two days ago since her October wedding, touched her stomach when asked about a possible pregnancy and said, “Actually, no. Is [the wedding] considered rushing? I just didn’t make an announcement.”
Asked whether the wedding had been planned for a long time, she replied, “It all happened within this year. We decided to wait until after the ceremony before telling everyone. Even our friends didn’t know; only my family knew.”
Nancy said that even fans believed that she was denying her pregnancy, which she found hilarious.
“The two of us are the happiest right now. We’ll think about that later and let nature take its course! There’s absolutely no pressure. Right now, we’re just enjoying our lives as a couple,” she added.
As to why she decided to marry in New Zealand, the actress said that she wanted a simple wedding.
“I’ve attended different types of weddings, and I hope that for my own wedding, I can stay true to our own wishes. My husband is also very low-key; simplicity is what we want. It’s just the two of us at the wedding, followed by a simple meal with our family back in Hong Kong,” she added.
