Selena Lee has finally shared some information regarding her breakup with fiancé Anson Cha, following her announcement back in February.
The actress and her former fiancé recently appeared on the fifth season of the Chinese reality show, “See You Again”, where she spoke about the fitness trainer’s failure to set a wedding date years after he popped the question.
Said Selena, the six months after her boyfriend proposed were her happiest days, but regrettably, the couple still hasn’t had a wedding despite her suggesting it several times.
“He always said ‘yes,’ but no, he didn’t actively pursue it. Eventually, my mum thought, ‘Forget it, let’s not talk about it anymore,’ and gradually, the topic stopped, as everyone got busy with their work,” she said.
Selena admitted that prior to their breakup, she asked him, “We’ve been engaged for so long, have you planned to save some money for the wedding?”. However, Anson replied “no” and never made any preparations for the wedding.
While Anson agreed to everything she said, the actress stated that she could no longer trust him.
“Even if he says he’s wrong and he’ll change, I’ve heard it more than a thousand times, probably at least five hundred. So, to me, his ‘sorry’ is meaningless,” she added. She also told Anson that he is someone who works hard but loves his job more than he loves her.
